FIRST WORLD CHILDREN’S DAY

This Sunday, 26th May 2024, we celebrate the first World Children’s Day as announced by Pope Francis.

For a more meaningful celebration, the children from  Sunday School are involved in the Liturgy as Readers and

Commentators, Wardens, Choir and Gift-bearers.

After mass, children (aged 5 yrs to 13 yrs) either from  Sunday School or otherwise but who have registered will have  3 activities to participate which have been arranged by the  Catechetical Ministry.

These activities, according to age groups, are colouring (5

yrs-7 yrs old), Treasure Hunt (8 yrs-10 yrs old) and Quiz (11  yrs-13 yrs old).

The programme set for this event is as follows:

PROGRAMME

  • 08.00 am  Chldren’s Mass – All children to attend.
  • 09.45 am   Children to gather in the hall in front of the stage.
  • 09.50 am    Prayer by Priest.
  • Icebreaker.
  • 10.00 am   Children to respective stations for the activities.
  • 11.30 am   All activitties to be completed.
  • Children to gather in the hall for prize giving.
  • 12.00 nn  Lunch to be served.
  • 01.00 pm    Programme ends.
